Hm, ok, let me try to say it another way …Thank you, I appreciate that! And you’re right, this isn’t an easy topic to discuss. I re-read your post and I’m still comming to the same conclusion. You still synonymise “homosexuality” with the sex at in which your original post alludes to. “Practicing homosexuals”, and the sex act described in your post are not the same thing. In fact, the act your post described can even be performed by a heterosexual couple! Would you then want to refer to this act as “practicing heterosexuals”? It’s also worth noting that it’s only with female “homosexuality” where such an act isn’t even possible.![]()
The first part of my post (about the story I read) was just triggered by Neil’s post. The second part of the post (about SSA & practicing homosexuals) was somewhat tangential to the first part of my post, but more directly related to the main thread topic. The second part wasn’t intended to refer only to the potential future biotech stuff that I spoke of, but to here-and-now realities of life.
Another point of clarification: when I say “practicing homosexuals,” I’m not referring to any specific sex act(s), because there are many specific acts which could fall into this category, both for male/male couples and female/female couples. By “practicing” I mean that someone has moved from SSA (just having an attraction for same-sex individuals) to physically acting upon that attraction.
Does that make more sense?
