the Church was a unified whole at the time. There were those within the Eastern Church that resisted images, as well as those in the West.
Is this important because you wish to elevate the West over the East in terms of “orthodoxy”?
I wonder if this is true…

I hope that it somehow enriches your spiritual lives, as well as those of your siblings who belong to the One, Holy, Cathlic and Apostilc Church founded by the Apostles in Jerusalem, Syria, and other points East decades before the Church in Rome was established.
