A true Christian knows his God. He then can use scripture to teach from. That’s how I see it. Not that it conflicts with what you said.
I’m just very skeptical that we are already trusting something that has been messed with by mankind (scripture) and then to trust more beliefs handed down and seemingly created by man. I know God must have something in place to show un-arguable truth if saught. I don’t want to trust history or any person saying “This is God” What do I do? Does God dispise this great respect I give him?
