I don’t want to upset anyone.
But I was looking for the real inventor of sola scripture.
Correct me if I am wrong but when satan was tempting Jesus did he not use scripture we he tempted Jesus to jump from the high ledge?

Also is it not because of sola scripture that Christians have broken into so many groups,
each group claiming sola scripture
as its athority.
satan would love to build thousands of churches, a great apostasy…was it not sola scripture
that was his greatest tool?
Other then nationality and culter which seems to be what separates
Orthodox, Sola scripture seems to be the devils greatest tool.

no, the devil’s greatest tool is the obscurity & inconsistency of the bible itself. the only real way of keeping christianity together is a solid dictatorial iron rule like in the days of imperial rome.

I do not know of any inconsistent
content in the bible.
Also The Catholic church seems to be united without imperial rome.

However the bible can be misused
which is what sola scripture seems to be.

The bible is not inconsistent with the teachings of the church. I would like an example of where the bible and church teaching don’t agree.

The bible says that many will fall away, this scripture would be true even with imperial rome.
Without sola scriptura people would not be misled by people using the bible.

Well, Jesus did answer Satan back with Scripture. He didn’t say, “tradition says,” but “it is written.”

Also, after His resurrection Jesus explained all the things concerning Himself in the Scriptures beginning with Moses and all the prophets (Lk. 24:27). And then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures (verse 45).

Why do Catholics think relying on God’s written Word is Satanic?

We don’t 🙂

And, who was Jesus addressing in your above citation?🙂

When did Jesus ever say its okay to end apostolic succesion?

He did not.

He set up the structure for authority. Denial of this is denial of scripture.

No. The only real way to keep christianity together (one faith, one baptism) is for all non catholic christians to protest the Iron Rule of their own man made doctrinal objections to the teaching authority of the Catholic Church.
The bible is only obscure and inconsistant to the degree one is removed from the catholic church. The farther removed, the farther confused the reader.

Reading corinthians proves this point. Paul was dissapointed that after they were left alone with scripture they went off the rails, and he had to chastise them for their personal interpretations gone very wrong.

To me the entire bible, is one example after another against sola anything.

Well, at least its better than some other alternatives. Hopefully sola scriptura leads people to the conclusion that they can see the visible church exists today, will exist forever and will welcome them to come to her when they open their minds to the scriptures and not the teachings of man.

Is that why The Catholic Church disseminated The Bible?

It isn’t God’s written Word that is Satanic. It’s what some men / women are using it for that’s Satanic!

Hold still and focus!

completely unrealistic.

you are catholic, maybe you can tell me what color is Jesus’ robe when he got murdered.

excaliber,
I notice you are claiming to be JW, yet are professing against the claims of sola scriptura, are you looking into the Catholic faith? Sorry for getting off the subject, but just thought I’d ask.

Jesus did not think so. So they may be one, remember?
jesus is mostly myth. anyway its unrealistic because people have diverse needs, different opinions and varying levels of understanding. non-catholic christians would never ever do according to your wishes. if the bible is really from god it should have at least LITERALLY specified that all christians should submit to the supreme authority of the successors of peter.
If the color of Jesus’ robe was in any way shape or form important for us to know about- we would know about it. Its not what the man wears that makes the man.
ah yes, the most effective way of dealing with bible inconsistencies is to say that those parts of the bible are not important. har har har. 😃

JW’s do not accept sola scriptura either. They submit to their teaching authority - the WBTS. A man made religion. That teaches hiddeous doctrines.

So, its “inconsistant” for us to not know the color of Jesus’ robe? How so?
I dont think you understand the word inconsistant.😦
