Well.
We will just have to invent something new to make a few people rich I guess.

China is the big culprit here, with their lack of regulation on recycling. Europe, by contrast, has a well-developed solar panel recycling program meant to recover and re-use the rare minerals used in the construction of these panels. Just as China has now begun to realize the need for air quality regulation, I expect that very shortly they will also adopt a reasonable recycling program just to protect their own environment, and to recover valuable materials.

I am afraid that as a planet we have reached the point of no return. We are too dependent on energy sources. We need too much power. And business has triumphed over environment. Now the EPA is lifting protections of vulnerable waterways.

At the rate we’re going, most of us will be dead in a hundred years, maybe less…

And yet the earth will remain. Perhaps someday God will start all over again.

Back to heating water with coal fire and passing the steam through a turbine.

OR heating the water with uranium.
