It was beautiful! with four priests from FSSP and several diocesan clergy participating, in one manner or another, and 10 Altar boys and the Archbishop presiding from the throne, the parish celebrated the Feast of the North American Martyr’s, (parish of the same name) at St. Alphonsus in Ballard, WA (north part of Seattle). Over 700 were in attendence and 600 received Communion. The choir was superb as was the pipe organ. The K of C were in full dress regala and led the procession.

Such a Mass hasn’t been seen in the Archdiocese in over 45 years. Fr. Gerard Saguto,FSSP was the celebrant, Fr. Eric Deprey, FSSP, Vancouver, BC, was the Deacon and Fr. Gedes, FSSP, was the sub-Deacon. Assisting Archbishop Brunett were Fr. Christianson, diocesan clergy, Fr. Lappe, diocesan clergy, Bremerton, WA. Four other diocesan priest were in choir. Two other FSSP priest were also assisting, although I did not get their names.

The Mass was photographed professionally and will available soon on line.

A wonderful dessert reception was held in the Family Center.

As more details emerge I’ll will try to post them.

I wish I had been there. Please continue to keep us informed as I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.

that sounds wonderful! I really hope that the Tridentine Mass becomes more prevalent.
