Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. What's The Date?

Hello:

First: Is a Solemnity a Holy Day of Obligation?

Second: Some Catholic calendars say that the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord falls on March 25, this year (which is a Sunday). Other Catholic calendars say that Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord falls on March 26, this year (which is a Monday).

Which is the correct day/date?

I need to know the actual day/date, because I making the Total Consecration to Mary this year, and I need to make it on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.

No, it is not a day of obligation.

The standard date for the Annunciation is March 25. However, a Sunday in Lent has liturgical precedence over Solemnities of the Lord; therefore, when March 25 is a Sunday in Lent, as it is this year, the Annunciation must be transferred to another day.

According to the websites for the USCCB and EWTN the Annunciation is on the 26th.
 
The correct name of the Feast is the “Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary”. It normally occurs on March 25th. If you’ll count the months till the birth of Jesus you’ll find that it is 9 months.

As has been said earlier that when the Annunciation falls on a Sunday of Lent it is transferred to the next day, which is the 26th this year.

That is the name of the feast in the EF. In the OF it is the “Annunciation of the Lord.” Historically, like the Purification/Presentation, it has been understood as a shared feast by both Our Lord and Our Lady. But the OF names it as a feast of Our Lord.
