Solemnity of the Ascenion of our LORD

As Catholics we know that it,s the “Ascenion of OUR LORD”
So I hope ,that many remember to go too Mass today,and if you forgot
than here is a pray to say

                  Blessed be GOD
                  Blessed his Holy Name
                  Blessed be Jesus Chirist,true God and true Man
                   Blessed be the Name of Jesus
                   Blessed be His most Heart
                   Blessed be hie most sacred Heart
                    Blessed be his most Precious Blood
                   Blessed be Jesus jn the most holy Sacrament of the alter
                   Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete
                   Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most Holy
                   Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Concepion
                   Blessed be her Glorious Assumption
                   Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother
                   Blessed be ST Joseph, her most chaste spouse
                  Blessed be God in his Angels and inhis Saints

 So my Freind,s in Christ, Praise the LORD, for he is OUR LORD . OUR Savor,OUR Shepared  And our GOD

I wish my parish had Ascension mass today, instead we have the Sunday-Thursday Ascension mass this weekend.

sigh.

Wouldn’t want people to have to go to mass 2x a week now would we. :rolleyes:

Got to go to Mass at our FSSP parish in Seattle. High Mass. Didn’t get home until 1:00 am. I’m still trying to recover. But, Oh, it was worth it!!!

Hi,

I went on Thursday, but am going today, we are not celebrating Ascension today as it was done on Thursday. We are celebrating the Easter Sunday.

So is the United States the only country that celebrates Ascension on Sunday instead of Thursday?

As just two examples, the Ascension is also transferred to Sunday in England and Wales and in Canada.

But actually there is no uniform rule for the United States; to meet the needs of various regions of the country, the U.S. bishops asked and received permission from the Holy See for the decision about the Ascension to be made at the level of the ecclesiastical province (of which we have, I think, 34).
