I agree with what you said. The fact that this wall dates back to that time period is the exciting part. Some scholars thought that Jerusalem was just some sleepy little village that was culturally and socially unimportant. Having a large defensive wall like that is proof that Jerusalem was a well-developed city that was culturally important and housed buildings important to governmental and religious life. While it doesn’t “prove” the Bible is true it lends credence to the importance that Jerusalem plays in the life of Israel even at the time of Solomon and David.
