I recently gave a 2 part teaching to a lay community I belong to(Disciples of Jesus) on the Eucharist.
My notes were were entirely a copy of what is in the catechism of the church.
For many people this is the first adult teaching they have ever received on the Eucharist aand many of the questions were pretty basic - being on this forum I have sen these questions and the correct answers before.
A central part of the teaching was on the real presence.
If the local priests won’t teach then this is one alternative.
My next teaching will be on the incarnation, death & resurrection (straight from the catechism again).
