According to the Congregation of Faith, some Baptisms that have been performed by arbitrarily changing the lanquage to; "in the name of the Creator; and of the Redeemer and of the Sanctifier." is not a valid Baptism. Niether is, "the Creator, Liberator and Sustainer." These have been used in the United States to avoid the "masculine names of the Trinity" Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This could effect everything up thru the Sacraments, including the validity of a marriage. Dear Sweet Lord! Help us!

Old News.

St Marys Catholic Community in Brisbane Australia used the invalid formula for years and baptized hundreds if not thousands of people. They were censured for this in 2004. They also were involved in other things which included wearing aboriginal robes instead of vestments and completely changing the liturgy to suit this particular “communities” needs. Many but not all of the parents of the children so baptized stand behind their priests use of the new and improved formula.

I have attached several photos of Mass at this Community. This is from the Myspace account of one of their parishners.

Lest anyone think I am overly judgemental, I chose not to post the Gay and Lesbian Choir photos or the Aboriginal Worship activities which are also available for viewing.

A truly progressive, forward and right thinking Parish.👍

Sigh. That’s a beautiful Church that just seems to be in the wrong hands. Sounds like someone needs to pull a St. Nicolas here…

From the looks of those pictures it seems the church is in the hands of the Neocatechumenals. Brisbane is one of the place where this movement has setup shop.

Ugh. Just the mentioning of the Neocatechumenals is enough to make me throw up in my mouth. More reason why someone needs “to St. Nicolas” this Church.

They are the proverbial Wolves in sheep’s clothing. What the Neocatechumenals are doing to the Church may even out do Arius.

Speaking of baptism, I think the following thread on another forum is highly relevant, and frankly Rome should be taking a serious look at the information there.

Rome has recently confirmed that the original poster was correct in denying the validity of baptisms conferred “in the name of the Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier.”

No pews = good move — applies to the Eastern Churches – who should respect the traditions of the Latin Church.

Unless Baptism is not preformed in the Trinitarian Formula it is invalid.

It looks like a church turned into a hippie rock concert. 😦

New and improved formula. If sending your young baby to Hell because of an invalid Baptism is “cool” then yes the other formula is improved.

Babies don’t go to hell if they die before being baptised. This is the old Catholic thought. Catholic theologians now believe that God is an all loving God and would not punish the innocent. God, by means only known by Him through Jesus can save babies or others whom are not baptised.

Actually the Church has no teaching on it. Here is the current teaching on “Limbo”.

“As regards children who have died without Baptism, the Church can only entrust them to the mercy of God, as she does in her funeral rites for them. Indeed, the great mercy of God who desires that all men should be saved, and Jesus’ tenderness toward children which caused him to say: “Let the children come to me, do not hinder them,” allow us to hope that there is a way of salvation for children who have died without Baptism. All the more urgent is the Church’s call not to prevent little children coming to Christ through the gift of holy Baptism.” (CCC 1261)

I don’t have my CCC on me to quote this, this is what I was trying to convey!!🙂 👍 Hehe!

Yes, my point however is that we don’t know whether un-Baptized babies go somewhere. We just don’t know. I would insure that my child was properly Baptized.
