So-called Ethical Dilemmas are interesting ways of probing for weaknesses, contradictions or gaps in a given person’s morality. Some amount of “working with the problem” is necessary; they’re not intended for “lateral thinking” to try to “break” the problem through finding a superior solution. The whole point of Ethical Dilemmas is that life can serve up situations that are NOT soluble satisfactorily to all involved, thus necessitating a choice be made by the principle actor–in this case, You.
