I asked a question the other day about that day’s gospel,……and given the number of days that it occurred, I am not certain you will likely answer it in the forum. Nevertheless, if you could help me, I would be so appreciative!

In Mark 9:38-40, our Lord states that “whoever is not against us is for us”!!!

My issue is with non Catholics,….specifically Protestants. I will say that they are good people,……they just want to interpret things according to their perspective. My Lord says that they are with us,……I think,……but just not according to our rules.

How does one answer that?

My first point is that no Protestant created any miracles,…….but I feel I am stretching my point. I look at a Billy Graham,……and I must say I don’t have a good answer to myself.

Can you help please?

Hi,

True, they are good people who have some of it right. To that degree we are united with them. To the degree that they don’t, we are not.

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P.
