Defensor Fidei,
Code:
You have really outdone yourself with this one. Now you are telling us Communion in the hand is alright. You are guilty of "Archaism" which was condemned by several Popes.

What more novelties will you come up with ? You have seen the disastrous results of the Vatican II folly and now you wish to add to them with even more "new age" trickery...you remind me of the "nowhere man" the Beatles used to sing of. Listen to the lyrics of the song.

I guess it all makes sense since you are in the Los Angeles diocese where they not long ago disposed of the body of St. Bibiana. Send it here and we will give it the honor it is due. In Drammen, Norway.
P.S. Preparing my arguments for the faulty ordinations in the novus ordo…I hope you know your Canon Law and Principles. I have a Canon Lawyer assisting me.

Jessie,

Why not point out where I said communion in the hand is okay? Do you intentionally misreprsent me?

The following belongs in a new thred:

While you are working on the ordination rites, please provide links to full texts, proof -texting will not b allowed. If you have a Church document to site, then provde the link to the entire source.

Europe is the model for society? Lowest birth rates- per family in the world. Sounds very Catholic to me.

I don’t think there is anything in Redemptionis Sacramentum to suggest that Communion on the tongue is out just because communion in the hand is permissible in a few places in the world. What we are talking about here is a indult to universal liturgical law in a few countries and yet some are cheering it like Communion on tongue has been overturned. I have mentioned it before regarding my younger brother who was scandalized by common practice of communion in the hand. What I forgot to mention was that he was an Altar boy at a small parish here in central Oklahoma. I have spoken to him recently about this. He still believes communion in the hand is inherently wrong. He, to this day, sees nothing very reverent in receiving the the Body and Blood of the Lord in such a casual manner. I have spent the last two years praying for his return to the Church and giving him things to read.

Then I guess were in basic agreement.

"Wherever I go in the whole world, the thing that makes me the saddest is watching people receive Communion-in-the-hand"

-Mother Teresa

As one theology professor told me years ago, “The church has endured over many centuries because it can adapt, adapt, adapt in practice, but never change in teaching the truth.” Reception of the Sacrament in hand is new to this age, but it not new to the church. It is another example of the statement, if you really want to know the church read history.
