Some knowledge is dangerous?

Is the knowledge of knowing when you are going to die really worth having?
I’d like to know when I’ll die so I could make preparations for it, :heaven:
and spend my last dollar the night before. 😃

At the first sight of this title, I thought, “That’s why my head hurts!”

Yeah, I’d like to know, spend my last dollar on a drink, then meet Him on the beach.

If I knew, I’d probably change my life style and habits, knowing how much time I had left (or how little)!! However, that would interfere with free will, wouldn’t it?? Certainly would for a lot of us!

I’d say, “what time can I be there?”

The Catholic philosopher Blaise Pascal said we should always live as though we had eight hours left to live. That is, semper paratis!

Ignorance, especially a lot of it I think would be more dangerous. Knowledge of when I would die. Well you could change it. Perhaps.

Well, I don’t really care to know. And I don’t mind dying. I just don’t want to be there when it happens. 😃

The knowledge of nuclear weapons certainly was dangerous, but that did not stop scientists from exploring it.

What say you?
I don’t think it’s the knowledge that itself is dangerous. Ones reaction to or application of knowledge may put themselves or others in danger. Even prior to the article referenced there have been people that have gotten information on the supposed upper limits of their lives. Some apply this information gracefully, making an effort to right wrongs, visit places or have experiences that had long been desired, and gathering loved ones to express their love to them. For others the reaction has resulted in dysfunction.

Though even with such information it’s possible one will die sooner.
