I miss Mother Angelica very much even though I never met her. It was seeing her on EWTN while on vocation one day that started my conversion process. I did get to visit her at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament about two years ago which was nice. She really was wonderful. Faithful, compassionate, insightful and incredibly spunky at the same time. I have to admit to deriving a good deal of amusement from her no-nonsense approach to bishops. She was constantly running afoul of our former cardinal here in Los Angeles, which he amply deserved, and when Rome quietly awarded Mother a holy relic after the dispute, it was even more fun!
