Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

According to the scriptures, we shall receive our reward, after Christ’s second coming whether it is eternal life or death. We know that it will either be eternal life or death if we read further into the word.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

There is no other way to gain eternal life. Christ made it specific here. If you do not receive eternal life in Heaven, then according to this scripture and many others, you will perish or what is called the “second death”

Also, according to Revelation 20:6,13 we know that no one has received their reward. Verse 6 says “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years”

Verse 13 says “And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.”

If you care to disagree, please provide scripture with your answer.

What’s your point truthmaker, that all i need to do is proclaim Jesus as my Lord and believe and I am in Heaven? SO it’s the “sola fida” argument again, James doesn’t count.😉

I you believe, you will be moved to work or to build, not sit on the sidelines. It’s not the act of serving that saves, it’s ths salvation that causes me to act in service. Is that simple enough?

BTW, where you been, on vacation? You went skiing?

Do you even bother to read the stories behind the pictures you link too, or do you just look at pictures and make your own assumptions?

I quickly looked at the ‘anti-Catholic’ website you linked the pictures from. They judge some Popes as going to hell and even state Pope Benedict still has an opportunity to repent. They don’t understand the upside down cross representing Peter’s crucifixion. They say Pope John Paul carried a “staff with a twisted satanically inspired corpus designed under the authority of John XXIII.”

If that’s the kind of place you’re getting your information on Catholics, you’re receiving the most vile lies against Catholicism to base an opinion on. To persist in your ‘anti-Catholic’ agenda makes your posts not worth addressing if you’re not going to listen to explanations.

Where is your scripture?
Why produce scriptures? I mean there’s going to be a difference in interpretation, where you will deny Catholic interpretation, but you will not show scriptures giving you the infallible interpretation, scriptures teaching the Bible is the only authority, or scriptures teaching everyone to interpret scriptures for themselves.

Let me ask you one simple question. Do you believe Catholics are Christians?

Truthseeker123,

Is Father David C. Trosch the pastor of your Church?

What’s wrong with providing scriptures? We can have a conversation if you provide scripture.

If any of you disagree, there is one solution PROVIDE SCRIPTURE!!!

We’ve been through this before. I provide scriptures, you reject the interpretation and assert your interpretation is correct, but not the authority that makes your interpretation correct.

Is Father David C. Trosch the pastor of your Church?

Using caps does not make your interpretation correct, if you want us to know your interpretation has authority over all other interpretations, PROVIDE SCRIPTURES!!!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life…
John 3:16 is the KEY passage. By believing in him, one also has to believe what Christ instituted on this earth, not just a belief in his existence. How is it that hard to understand that bible passage? It clearly states everything what the Catholics believe. We believe in EVERYTHING that was of God, not just that God is somewhere up in the sky.

Not to be mean, but how stupid does it sound. “God come into my heart”, then bingo, i’m going to heaven.

What’s the question? That’s all from the Bible. I don’t disagree with the Bible.

I have a question for you truth maker. What means of transportation do you use? Do you drive a car or a truck? What do you use???

If you are as loyal to your interpretation of scripture that you claim to be, even at times to put your personal integrity on the line, then you would have to know that the only means of transportation found in scripture is a donkey or a camel.

Which on do you employ???

You cannot have it both ways, is it sola scriptura or is it sola truth maker

You have failed to provide scripture. What do you think about post#1? Am I wrong about Jesus having His reward with Him which obviously oppose catholic teaching that saints are already in Heaven?

Or what about the fact that scriptures teaches that the wages of sin (transgression against the law) is death and not eternal torment. Let’s not place scripture to the side and ignore it.

Romans 2:7-8 (New International Version)
7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.
