Some prayers for my students

Hi everyone!

I have been a Catholic High school teacher now for thirteen years teaching both Spanish and Religion /Theology courses. This past year I was asked by my principal to just teach Religion. I was excited for the change and it truly has been a great year!

I am asking for your prayers for two students of mine. They both have approached me to be Baptized and to be received into the Church! My heart is overflowing with joy and in amazement of how much the Holy Spirit is working and how humbling it has been. Humbling in that, one of the boys, Jonathan, is not of any faith at all. When he, myself, and his mom met with the RCIA/RCIC coordinator at the Cathedral (they are our “parish” as they are across the street from us) and she asked him why he wanted to be Catholic, he pointed at me and said “It’s because of Mr. Reyes.” I was moved to tears.

Please pray for my students, particularly Jonathan and Shea, as we journey together on this new path of faith. Please pray for me also, that I can truly be a good example for them and take to heart the words (my favorite words I should note 🙂 ) of St. John the Baptist: “I must decrease so He can increase.” and allow the Lord to use me as he sees fit.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

You are so blessed! Praise God!

Praying to the Lord to keep giving you the strength and courage to keep teaching and guiding God’s beautiful children to him. May the Holy Spirit surround you and overflow your heart with his love and wisdom. May his spirit give you the zeal and perseverance to keep using your spiritual gifts to help others find Jesus.

Lord I ask that you be with all his students especially Jonathan and Shea as they start this journey with you. Be with them Lord, be their light. Take them on all the many adventures you have in store for them.

Congratulations on planting the seed of faith! Praying for these two students and their families. Thanking God that you are a sower of souls.

I pray for Jonathan and Shea that they will continue to grow fonder of the Catholic Faith and most importantly Jesus Christ. I pray for you as well that you may continue to touch the lives of others and spread the Word of God. Keep up the good work!🙂
