The United Kingdom on Wednesday become the first country to approve the coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca. The shot is cheaper and easier to distribute than alternatives, and is expected to play a crucial role in boosting the [global economy](https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/17/...onavirus-bailout-imf-annual-report/index.html) next year.**

AstraZeneca has promised to supply hundreds of millions of doses to low- and middle-income countries, and to deliver the vaccine on a not-for-profit basis to those nations in perpetuity.

According to reports, it’s not as effective as Moderna or Pfizer. I think it’ll be awhile before the FDA approves this one.

Nevertheless, I expect by the end of 2021 that there’ll be between 3-5 vaccines available in the US. This will present another issue though, what is the best vaccine and who will accept it? I can definitely see some people getting more than one Covid19 vaccine.
