Some stories and verses from the Bible are not taken literally, can we apply that on God?

Many verses from the Bible apply that God is some sort of energy and quality and not a personal being. Could God be non literal?

Non-literal would be non-existent. Why even mention the Name? Man/woman/human/personkind has a very limited ability to express the essence and meaning of God, and just as little ability to comprehend. God is pure spirit - thus, we have writings that mention hands, arms, wings and other material objects that are simple analogies which attempt to provide some level of understanding of the Divine existence.

Scripture is itself God’s own self-revelation to man and a record of His covenants with man. It addresses much about who God is, beyond just what He is. It becomes useless if God is not real.

Please quote these verses for us and provide chapter and verse.

The other Topic about God is getting too long winded, so I guess you needed a new beginning!

Literal and metaphorical converge as one, when the subject is big.
