Some strange things

A toy went off by itself tonight. No one activated it the noise. Everyone is asleep. It was standing upright with nothing to press the buttons. And I heard a noise in the house as if someone stepped on one of the loud creaking wooden steps or banged the wall with furniture or some object.

I’ve seen another toy go off on it’s own recently a few times but thought nothing of it. But yeah, that one toy tonight. It is obvious it went off on it’s own for sure. It may be nothing. I hope it is nothing. I’m going to keep an eye out for these things and pray it doesn’t get worse and it is nothing spiritual.
 
The toy could be explained, usually they dont use high quality parts in those, so going off or turning itself on here and there is not that unusual, but the loud banging may be something more, but have to keep in mind, thats about all they can or will do in most cases, make a lot of noise, scare people, etc. they cannot take it much further though.
 
Have a RC priest bless your home. Some people do this as a matter of course whenever they move into a new home, not necessarily for spiritual activity but just as a blessing.

There are also prayers for spiritual warfare:

I command and bid all the powers who molest me—by the power of God Almighty, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior—to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting lake of fire, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world. Amen.
 
Couldn’t hurt to sprinkle some holy water around the room and on the toy itself.
 
Father Amorth has said that while it is exceedingly rare, some objects can be or get cursed. Get rid of the toy, * and then if the weirdness continues, have a RC Priest bless the house.

You might have to join a RC Church to get the house Blessing of a Priest, but I would doubt you would have to be Catholic since you are discerning.

Consider ordering the Spiritual Warfare book from Amazon. [That is the book another poster quoted from] and pray the Rosary. Ask that Saint Benedict pray for you and your family.

Once you have taken action, if any, put all of this out of your mind. It is best not to obsess or dwell on this stuff. Think of it as rats in the basement, and you just put it behind you.*
 
Is it an old house? Probably something with the heating system, or you imagined it…I do that often, imagine a door banging…
 
It’s kind of technical and I don’t understand it myself but it could have something to to with impedence. We have a touch lamp that sometimes turns itself on and off.:eek:
 
My kids’ toys do that all the time. It’s honestly nothing to worry about. Be at peace. 👍
 
When batteries get low, there can be power surges or weird behavior by computer components; so it can make toys turn themselves on. Turning on by itself can also be a sign of low quality wiring, or switches/buttons that are so sensitive that very small motions can set them off. Toys that are light- or motion-sensitive on purpose are particularly prone to this. Faulty resistors can mess things up, too. Finally, if toys have a remote control function, the remotes can malfunction and turn things on, or somebody else’s remote on the same frequency can set things off.

It’s actually pretty common today to have toys, lights, TVs, etc. malfunction in this way. It’s not exactly testimony to quality workmanship in those Chinese factories, or to quality engineering by designers in the US or Japan.

Fortunately, most of these malfunctions aren’t of the sort that cause fires, because usually we’re pretty good at engineering against that. But as we’ve seen with hoverboards and their faulty lithium batteries, not everybody manages that much.
 
I wouldn’t worry about it. Toys with batteries or remotes are known to go off by themselves sometimes. As for a banging sound, sometimes refrigerators can make noises like that. My toaster oven makes a popping sound when the metal is cooling off. So, no need to assume anything other than a normal explanation for these things.

If its a ‘smart tv’, there could be another reason for this, did you hear recently Samsung sent out a warning about certain internet connected smart tvs, that people using them should be careful about what they talk about if one of these tvs is in the room…apparently ‘someone’ could be listening in or even watching!
