I read in Wednesdays paper about the defrocked priest, paul shanley; and further down it said that that the abuse had been done in several locations, including the church pews and confessional. That church has been desacrated by the abuse and Mass cannot be said there until it has been taken care of. The abuse only became known recently. Has action been done? I am uncertain of the exact procedure; blessing, reconsecration; etc, but I am certain that something needs to be done quick if it hasn’t been done yet.

I totally agree with you that something has to be done in ‘Taxachusetts: The Gay State’.

In fact, the 2006 referendum is slated to give voters a chance to overturn the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision on homosexual (‘Gay’) marriage.

I hope something will be done in my Commonwealth.

As long as Mass is as liberal as it is, this is going to keep heppening. Mass needs a major conversion. Either fight it as well as you are capable of, or if you cant take it leave.

I see someone is from “Southy.” I did something about that shameful state. My family moved out of there in 1956 and I have not been back since. To add insult to injury, they closed down the church that I was baptized in. (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-East Boston)

Hi Deacon Tony,

Eastie has changed completely, it used to be mostly Italian, now its almost 100% hispanic.

Southie is changed also, my neighborhood is almost all yuppied with $3,000.00/month rents and condos springing up like toadstools.

The 2006 referendum is the voter’s chance to once again defeat Homosexual ‘Gay’ Marriage.

Kevin, nice to hear from you. I have a retired friend from Southy. I will pass on your info. I still have family in the area. (West Roxbury) I miss seeing them, but not the state.

God bless

I cannot believe how all of you totally missed what I was trying to say. Gay marriage, taxes, southerners. I was trying to say that the abuse done inside the church had desacrated the building and something needed to be done about that. By Mass, Masses, I meant the Holy Sacrafice of the Mass, not the population! I thought this was a catholic site. Serious.

What do you want them to do-Burn it down or perform an exorcism ? For that matter, what about the liturgical abuses that go on each sunday across the US-someone should track down those churches where I get the e-mails from my Traditional friends where they have the priestess masses, the clown mass, the motorcycle mass, etc.

Abuse takes many forms, I am deeply shamed at my church for what has happened, but when you let homosexuals into the seminary, because you are only looking for a non-Orthodox candidate-one you can mold into thinking progressively (another word for homosexual in most cases), then you reap what you have sowed.

To date, with the countless millions and churchs being sold off to pay for this mess-you would think that someone from Rome would be here ripping apart these seminaires and dioceses-but they do nothing, it does not seem to concern them

Great post! But help is on the way…I don’t remember where I heard it…I think on EWTN…but this is the year that they are coming from Rome to do just what you have posted above regarding the seminaries…🙂

Hi,

I knew exactly what you were getting at. But what am I supposed to do? I can’t even get a street sign changed in my neighborhood, let alone influence Diocese or Parish policy?

Yeah I know I was a bit abrupt on my last post—thats what occurs when I go online when I am sick. I was hoping someone from Massachussets would read this and realize that this needed to be taken care of.
Some of you were upset about the abuses that have got into the church lately. It is a matter that upsets me greatly. Jesus said, "the gates of hell shall not prevail against (the church)" He didn't say that the gates of hell wouldn't attack or mess up ithe church; I think He meant that even when they do, they wont prevail. All of this abuse will be cleaned up, and just like all the other heresies through all time. Modernism is the heresy of our time. I know our semenaries are corrupt. There is still a lot of abuse. Going around and ripping the church apart like the newspapers do isnt going to help. What we need to do is be holier and more prayerful, be proud to be catholic, set good example, learn our faith, read the writings of the saints and church fathers, bear witness to the truth, and let God use us as His instruments.

It was announced yesterday in the [yuck!] BOSTON GLOBE newspaper that the Boston Archdiocese is conducting mandatory criminal background checks on all its Priests and 60,000 employees and volunteers. My suggestion was to include psychological screening to remove all the remaining homosexual infiltrators that a criminal background check is incapable of doing.

(the only time I read the Boston Globe was when I was visiting a friend in Massachusetts the night of the 19-8 Red Sox loss to the yankees and was reading the sports page in the morning before I left for home)
So Kevin, do you think this mandatory check is a good thing or a harmful development? I think that it may bring about a lot of good, but I have to agree with you that we need to clean out all the infiltrators; all those active homosexuals and all those freemasons who are priests as well.
