Hello again,

I’ve posted a few times, so today I thought I would share something that happened at work. I work at a grocery store as a meat cutter, and today I was out and about filling the shelves, when a woman came up to me. She asked me if I was the girl/woman that went to St Teresa’s mass. I said yes. She said that she hadn’t seen me there in some time. I said yes again. Then she said, “Please come back, we miss you.”

I was shocked. Never did I think that anyone would even remember me. It struck me that in our small masses during the week days, it is probably easier to see the people as individuals than a group. When I go on the week days we probably have about 10ish come. I don’t know anyone’s name, and I barley know anyone’s face.

Because of my memory I figured I was just another face in the crowd. I figured that since I’m not a member of the church, no one would even think twice about me. Turns out I was wrong. This was the second person to tell me, they missed me during mass.

I hadn’t gone to church in about a month and a half. Turns out I’m somewhat memorable, and surprising a missing person.

Who would of thought??

This thought: ANY excuse unless it is a reasonable one like you are an emergency medical worker a police officer taking care of someone who is ill or you yourself are ill, to miss Mass, is lame. I don’t throw that word around lightly either.

I guess you made an impression on her.

How wonderful of this person to approach you! I see you are unsure of your faith currently. Maybe this is a sign to return to Mass.

Consider it a message from an angel of sorts.

You matter, you are missed, and you are wanted back.

So go already!! 🙂

I think that is a very good sign, that people care about you and they actually tell you

to come back. sounds like a caring parish.🙂

Jesus missed you, too. That’s why He sent those messengers to tell you! :dancing:

How awesome! Hopefully you can get back there soon! It’s especially nice when when people know eachother and a little community begins to form. It makes it so much better

I think it’s so nice someone cared about you and told you that you were missed.

I hope that you will be a presence there at Mass again soon.

God Bless,

Mary.

That’s what I was thinking too.

Ashley W.

It’s wonderful that you belong to a community with members who obviously care and have taken the effort to reach out to you. What a blessing.

You are a child of God and worthy of notice. Come back to Mass.

That’s lovely! It doesn’t surprise me though because when I was able to go to daily mass, I did the same thing. It was a small church, and having someone missing was like having a family member missing! I’d wonder if they were ok or not. We don’t know each other’s names, but sharing a meal at the lords table makes it intimate (in a pure and loving way). Anyone able to go to daily mass like that is lucky! I miss it so much!

Sounds like Jesus visited you twice and told you He missed you.
