I would strongly recommend you to read the book **“The Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary”**from the visions Of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. Once you meet her through this book I doubt you will have more questions. My heart was breaking while I was reading it…
Oh yes, of course - the supposed writings of Anne Catherine Emmerich - which were actually written by Brentano, not even the Vatican recognises their authenticity and which contains such passages as:
I saw the curse pronounced by Noah upon Ham moving toward the latter like a black cloud and obscuring him. His skin lost its whiteness, he grew darker. His sin was the sin of sacrilege, the sin of one who would forcibly enter the Ark of the Covenant. I saw a most corrupt race descend from Ham and sink deeper and deeper in darkness. I see that the black, idolatrous, stupid nations are the descendants of Ham. Their color is due, not to the rays of the sun, but to the dark source whence those degraded races sprang.
I think not

Um, folks, why on earth would you point somebody automatically to stuff like Emmerich or de Montfort, first thing? Those are pretty high on the devotional and emotional side; a lot of pious Catholic people can’t get into them.

(God didn’t make everybody love and understand Him the same way, because He didn’t make us all out of the same mold. People are all different. That’s why we like different books.)

This guy is asking for answers to questions. He wants something a little bit more on the fact and thought side. Send him to stuff like Mark Shea’s trio of short, connected books on Mary.
(That’s the Mary, Mother of the Son trilogy. Lots of info, lots of explanations.) There are a lot of Mariology books out there that are full of good stuff.

Of course, the premiere place in the world to do serious Mary research is the Marian Library at the University of Dayton. They’ve got a fairly large webpage which might start you out towards good resources. If you click on “About Mary” and then “Mary in the Bible”, you’ll find a bunch of quick scholarly examinations of various texts, and the methods used to get Marian meanings out of them. It’s more on the liberal side than some may like, but it’s not bad in any way.

I would suggest the little book by Scott Hahn, former Presbyterian minister now Catholic, called “Hail Holy Queen.” He goes into the Biblical basis for Catholics’ high regard for Mary. If I recall correctly, he explores such topics as Mary the Second Eve, Mary the Ark of the New Covenant, Mary the Mother of Christians, and Mary the Queen-mother of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Personally, I found the discussion of Mary as the Second Eve in the works of St. Justin Martyr and St. Irenaeus, writing about A.D. 155 and A.D. 189 respectively, to be quite beautiful. For instance, St. Irenaeus said, “And thus also it was that the knot of Eve’s disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary. For what the virgin Eve had bound fast through unbelief, this did the virgin Mary set free through faith.” (Against Heresies, Book 3;Chapter 22.)

Typology of Mary in Scripture
MARY IS THE ARK OF THE COVENANT
If you read 2 Samuel 6 9-16 and read Luke 1 35-56, you will see corrolations. Such as

The Ark of the Covenant went to the HILLSIDE COUNTRY
Mary went to the HILLSIDE COUNTRY

There was LEAPING AND DANCING FOR JOY
Both stayed there for 3 months… there are many more too

MARY QUEEN OF HEAVEN
This is in regards to Jesus from being on the Davidic line of Jewish Kings… If you were to read the Book of Ruth, and 1 Kings 2: 17-20, you will see that the Queenship office is of high importance. All the Queens of the Davidic line were the mother of the Kings.

Mary EVER VIRIGIN
Ezekiel 44 1-2, where only the LORD ( Jesus!) Can enter it.
In addition, at the passion of our Lord, Jn 19:26-27, Jesus made John the son of Mary. Jewish law was very specific. it was His responsibility to always see that Mary’s role was to continue as Mother. It was a Jewish custom. As such, we know the John was NOT Jesus’ Physical brother.
