Jesus is still here! Really, truely, actually HERE! And I can receive Him in Holy Communion!

Now that’s an AWESOME GOD:thumbsup:

He taught us new ways of relating to God. Firstly, in Himself He showed us a God who, while losing nothing of His divinity, was nonetheless like us in all ways except sin - including the capacity for suffering and death.

Secondly He taught us to call God ‘Abba’ (‘Daddy’), and gave us the image of the Prodigal Son’s father. As one of my priests is fond of saying, the story should really be called ‘the Prodigal Father’ instead (prodigal meaning excessively generous and spendthrift), in view of the father’s unbounded and free mercy and generosity. It’s a radical shift from previous views of God as more of a stern, impersonal and harsh judge.

Mark Chapter two

"5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “My son, your sins are forgiven.” 😃

He spoke with great simplicity in the classical fashion of teachers to small groups of students, and astounding eloquency to large groups of people as well, with clear, simple effective language, communicating both deepening thoughts and raising ideals. These are the hallmarks of the very best teachers.

1 Peter 1:

" 8 Without having seen * him you * love him; though you do not now see him you * believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted joy. 9 As the outcome of your faith you obtain the salvation of your souls. "😃

Romans Chapter 15:

"13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. "

Jesus not only gives us HOPE, Jesus is our HOPE:D

Mt. 5: 11

"11 "Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12* Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you. "

He cared about the sick and the poor and the meek and the mournful and the peacemakers and the persecuted. He saw the true and perfect beauty in mankind and encouraged all people to be good to each other and to love God above everything on earth. He showed that the kingdom of God can be on earth and also in heaven.

He obeyed His parents, even though He was divine and
they were not (LK 2:51)

He raised 3 people from the dead: 1. Lazarus (JN 11),
2. The daughter of Jairus (MK 5:40), & 3. The widow’s son
(LK 7:11-13)

and that’s not all. Matthew 27:53 says there were
more, at the point of His death.

Matthew 4:1-11 He showed us how to resist the temptations
of the devil.

Hebrews Chapter six

: 9 "Though we speak thus, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things that belong to salvation. 10 For God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love which you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness in realizing the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. "

***Jesus Gives us HOPE:thumbsup: ***

Matthew 28:20 – He said He’d be with us always, until
the end of the world!

John 20: 23

"22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23* If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

To how many blind people did He restore sight? Maybe 3 were
mentioned, more were included in other miracles were that were
not individually described, and some will say, “I was one”

He honored a poor widow in front of everyone, and before everyone. Luke 21:1-4
