Dear exoplanets,
I have kids your age. I can tell you are trying to lead a good life. Our society is saturated with this kind of stuff – jokes about nudity, off-color remarks, etc. I think in time you will get a bit tougher skin, but for now just realize that 95% of pop culture may have objectionable issues here and there. It sounds like you handled it well and I’m sure you will get good advice here. I wouldn’t worry about it – it’s not like you went looking for nudity / inappropriate content.

You can’t commit any sin, mortal or venial, on accident. And if “Crocodile Dundee” is pornography, none of us is safe from it, since that would mean that most movies and TV shows and commercials and billboards are. You didn’t go looking for it, you didn’t dwell on it, don’t worry about it. Sin requires action on your part. We can’t commit a sin passively. Something that happens to us can’t be a sin. How we respond could be. It doesn’t appear that you responded in a sinful way. Don’t overthink it. Be at peace.

You should avoid the Sistine Chapel, or most of the Renaissance art in Rome, if a glimpse of skin bothers you so much.

Exo, it seems like you are a young man on the right path. The advice is solid, you can’t accidentally sin nor simply the unexpected exposure to temptation is a sin. It would be a sin if, knowing you shouldn’t, but you do anyway, and arouse yourself with imaginations of thongs and stuff. doesn’t seem like you did that.

Suggestion: Covenant Eyes

In practice, we can use our eyes in a covenential way to respect others, ourselves, and God at the center. The Covenant Eyes program is an accountability program in which all of your electronic history is packaged up and sent as a report to someone you trust, your accountability partner.

Yes, be at peace, may the blessings of the Lord be with you.

We should look at all sin as the worst things that we can possible do in our lives, as believers. I just read somewhere that all sin is idolatry – we’re worshiping something other then God.

That made an impression on me, and I think it’s really something to think about – we treat a lot of things as being more important than God.

When we talk about “avoiding the near occasions of sin” we’re talking about avoiding that slippery slope from which we cannot recover.

Yes, but we have to keep things in perspective. We’re broken. We’re fallen. We’re weak. We fall into sin. That happens. It’s the reality of the human condition. We don’t get anywhere by allowing shame to take over, for that’s when we close ourselves off to mercy. St. Francis de Sales says we must be merciful with everyone, but first of all with ourselves. This is why we pray in the Our Father “forgive as we forgive.” It is not that we will be punished for failing to forgive, but rather that we cannot possibly receive forgiveness if we are not first of all open to it. We punish ourselves by being unmerciful to ourselves, and thus we cannot reflect mercy to others.

We should look at sin as illness of the soul, and cry out to our Divine Physician to heal us.

Even though I know I didn’t commit a sin now, i still asked Jesus have mercy on me. I’m trying everyday and every sin i commit to ask for mercy

As opposed to someone who would discuss matters of this nature online with a minor?

Guys believe me I am doing everything I can to try to stay away from bad things but it almost seems like every time I look, there is something bad or a temptation there for me. I’m just so… I don’t know. I can’t seem to do anything right.
Kid, you’re fifteen…cut yourself some slack

Talk with a priest when you can and stop fretting
