Maybe it’s time we all bite our toungues.
Okay … here’s a true one I learned from one of my spiritual directors a few years back :

The word communion is derived from a combination of two words : common and union.

Now there’s some food for thought.

🙂
  • NOTE: BTW a new pun thread is going to have to begin after another 6 more contributions or so, from fellow members . Some of the talent on exhibit here would really enhance the next thread.
Here’s the current link with about 6 spaces left (if you click here) .

I’ll come back to this thread to give you guys the location of the new pun thread when it happens too … in other words…I’ll keep you posted …(would love for you to do the same).

God Bless

The joke is good, but Christ expects pure hearts, and the only way to get it is the confession.

We can expect change if the priests who are not celebrating will be sit in the confessional to provide opportunity for confessions., and in one priest parish the priest will do so before each masses.

I only receive from “consecrated hands”. EMHC’s hands are not consecrated.

It seems like more people are receiving on the tongue. It’s really getting out of hand.

…thanks, I’ll be here all week. Remember to tip your waitresses.
I know you have good intentions, but shouldn’t we be focusing on our own unworthiness and be thankful to God for making us worthy to receive Him rather than observing how other people are receiving during Communion?

Pun Thread Number VII has just started HERE if anyone wants to share in the fun.

I believe the OP was making a joke. “Out of hand” because they’re no longer receiving on the hand. Get it? :o
