**This is something we all can learn from, my many thanks to you for posting it. I think it is wonderful that your wife is doing this…how often, we can be negative, just picking the things out that are not done, as you say here, or whatever. This post will be a reminder for us all to catch ourselves when we get like that. Thanks!

No supposedly I have an 8 to 5 job but I’m in the revenue stream of my company and involved in a lot of contract negotiations lately so my normal 50 hours a week have been 60 to 70… which much of I can do once everyone goes to sleep so I don’t miss time with the family.Do you have an on call type of job, Joe? That was very thoughtful of your wife.
Now, he has come down with it too (the last in our family of 5) - my turn to take care of him!Wow, I think so!Uh let’s see…
Drove 8 hours to be with me when I was hospitalized out of town
Spent every day and night with me at hospital for a week
Worn isolation garb for a week (mask, gown, gloves) due to possible flu threat to my health and his
Made all my meals
Bathed me
Dressed me
Been my nurse
Taken me to all my appointments
Driven me places, taken me out and pushed me around church, stores, parks and restaurants just so I could be out of this house.
Helped me do everything I can’t do, which is most everything right now
Waited on me hand and foot
Pushed me all around in my wheelchair
Does all the Laundry, Dishes, and all the housework
Bought me so many fun things to do while I’m having to lay low and is constantly surprising me with more
Spoiled me rotten and treated me like a queen and calls me beautiful even though I’ve looked awful through this whole ordeal
Does mine get the prize???

I think that’s wonderful that your hubby did that. I can’t believe it, your hubby has h1n1 too? Ugh, you and he are in my prayers. Praying for a speedy recovery. Oh my gosh, 60 to 70 hours per week? Be careful, Joe…that is not a healthy pace to keep up. Your family needs you to be healthy, too!
Thank you for the prayers! We are all doing well. It does linger though- fevers for over a week. I am mostly relieved that it is (almost!) behind us, because it has hit our area hard, and some families have not fared so well.Oh no, you had h1n1?? I hope you have recovered, now? And, thank you for positive posts like this! But, to the OP, he is a total night person…up til 2am doesn’t bother him at all. And then, he gets up at 5:30am…pretty much everyday! I am NOT a night person, seriously 10pm is really pushing it for me. And I’m not really an early morning person…I can DO 5:30am, but it’s not my favorite. While we were on our honeymoon (the CA cruise ) he gave up going to any night shows because he knew it would be too hard on me to stay up that late. SO sweet! And then stayed in bed late, a couple of times even until 8am!!! And, to add to that, I work in a town that is two hours away. I stay at a dorm that the hospital I work for has during the week, maybe coming back on Weds night to be home w/ him. On the nights that I have to get up and come to work early (by early I mean I have to leave our home at 3:30am because I have to be at work at 6:45 am and although it’s only 2 hours away, it’s in the Central Standard Timezone and we live in Mountain Standard 
) he goes to bed with me at 7:00pm! It is REALLY hard for him because he’s a go, go, go kind of guy and he knows there’s ton he could accomplish in that time. But, I guess he loves me! Wait, you went on a CA cruise for your honeymoon? How awesome is that!!!My DH and I have been married now for only 6 weeks so still very blissful!
How great! I am not a morning type either, my husband is moreso that…although, if we’re up late for some reason, he will sleep in. I think your husband loves you very much to go to bed at 7pm! *

We were known as “the newlyweds” through the whole thing, but it was definitely great to have our honeymoon be something that was spiritually uplifting!*I’ll say! My dh and I have wanted to go on that for a while…maybe someday.It was so awesome!!!

There were several couples on the trip celebrating anniversaries…so maybe you can think about it for a 20yr, 25yr, there was even a 40yr. I told my DH that since our honeymoon was so big he had a lot to live up to every year after this! He didn’t seem to go for that though… Thank your husband for his service and thank YOU for being a military wife. I think the spouses aren’t thanked quite enough, and that you give the military spouse something personal to fight for!!!
