As many of us go through difficult times, we tend to turn to prayer and try to leave it in God’s hands. Well, it seems (seems being an important word) that prayers are sometime, and in my case, not heard-or so it seems. I am in the most difficult part of my life, career wise, financially, all seems lost and in my weakness, at times, I am beginning to question my faith. Well, I’m tired of praying for myself, if God’s going to intervene, he’d be doing it by now so I guess it’s time to accept my fate. I have been asking for a path, to use my God given talents to slog my way out of this earthly dilemma but I got nothing. Perhaps I’m expecting too much, I know I have been given much and maybe I squander it. As I read through some of the threads trying to find some wisdom, solace or support yet I see nothing. And for now, I give up on praying for myself, acceptance is difficult.
Yet as the Apostles and the early Church did, I think I will try to keep my faith by praying for others who also are in dark times, as part of our community. Perhaps my prayer’s won’t help them either, but I feel if I try and never know, at least I keep my own faith, my soul with the Lord. In front of you, my Brothers and Sisters, I will try to say prayers for others, everyday for a long as I can. In the morning, I will offer an Our Father and in the evening I will offer a Hail Mary, perhaps this will do some good for someone who the Lord can help.
