Hello community, this is my first topic.
First let me say that, I am orthodox christian, but, I am agnostic.
I cant believe anything until I see it with my own eyes.
I use logic to describe everything, and not the “spirit” or any thing like that…
But last few years, I am getting confused… so lets begin…

The reason I feel cursed is because, last 3-4 years I think, every time I arrange to do something lets say for tomorrow, or in 2 months, AND say about my plans to someone(friends, family…) then something “happens” (not from my side) and they get canceled. However, If I wont say my plans to anyone then they dont get canceled or missed… This is so weird, and it’s toying with my mind, I know I cant believe only to evil and not to good, if there is evil there is good too.I am a really good observant guy, and every time something weird happens I notice it and try to find a way to explain it.

I cant believe all this is just a coincidence because this happens EVERY single time.
I am 19 years old, but I am a strong character, and I will really try to get this through…

Prabying for your intentions.

Remain faithful to the Gospel, and pray for the will of the Lord to be done!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

I would not say this is a curse. Maybe it is the Lord just trying to teach you not to be so sure of your own plans.

Life is not what we plan, but what we do with that which is delivered to us. Sure you can plan to get a degree to be a Doctor, but alone the way circumstances could occur that reveal to you that being a Doctor is not such a great idea or what God wants. Maybe along the way you will discover that being Chemist is more interesting.

I planned to join the Navy, but failed the physical. God had other plans, not like my own. Sometimes He uses circumstances to re-direct us a bit and to show us other options. So don’t look at the sudden changes or cancellations you can do nothing about as a curse, just a bit of redirection instead. And in that redirection there is a message to sort out.

I think one of the worst things we do in the the US, and within our educational practices, is convince people that they can “plan their future.” We can’t. All we can do is try to be prepared for it. Life is full of obstacles, barriers, twists and turns. How we respond to them, and our willingness and ability to adjust to them can become great lessons in following the will of God versus our own will.

👍 May I come to do your will always, Lord! That is my prayer daily!

Let this be your daily prayer.

Prayer to Know the Will of God

Lord, what is Your will that I do? I am completely open to Your plan for me. I desire to live only in You and to be guided by You forever. Grant that Your holy will may be carried out perfectly in me. Amen.

~~ St. Jane Frances de Chantal (1572-1641)

Prayer to St. Thomas the Apostle

Almighty and everliving God, who strengthened your apostle Thomas with sure and certain faith in your Son’s resurrection: Grant us so perfectly and without doubt to believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord and our God, that our faith may never be found wanting in your sight; through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

I will pray for you! The Apostle Thomas, also known as “Twin”, is practical
and will not even accept the witness of the 11 fellow disciples of our Lord
that Jesus has been resurrected! Have FAITH, my friend, maybe God is trying
to get your ATTENTION! Have you ever heard the saying “If you want God to laugh,
tell Him your plans!”, seems to me to be true in this case!

Hail holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope,
to you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,
to you do we lift up our sighs, mourning and weeping
in this Valley of Tears.
Turn then most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy
towards us, and after this our exile, show to us the
blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus,
O clement, O loving O kind Virgin Mary!
(Pray for us O holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ!)
Amen.

Saint Michael the archangel defend Jim Yea in his battle,
be his defence against the schemes and wickedness of the devil,
May God rebuke the devil, we humbly pray,
and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan
and all evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls!
Amen.

Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
thrust down to hell satan and all the wicked spirits,
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession and was left forsaken. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, a sorrowful sinner. Despise not my words, O Mother of the Word, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen
