Son has interview tomorrow; dinner tonight

My son has an interview for a paid summer internship tomorrow. It’s an all-day interview. He’s not sure how many other candidates there are. He will meet most of them tonight at dinner, as well as talk to the interviewers/recruiters.

He’s not the most extroverted person. He’s very intelligent but as with most engineer types, a little “geeky.” He’s got a very pleasant personality but doesn’t shine in impromptu situations.

Please pray that he is calm and relaxed and confident. And of course a bonus would be an offer! Thank you.

Should I pray to St. Joseph or St. Cajetan? Or maybe both?

I need Your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. I wish to use the gifts and talents You have given me, but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to You with praise and thanksgiving for Your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Bless, O Lord of the centuries and the millennia, the daily work by which men and women provide bread for themselves and their loved ones. We also offer to Your fatherly hands the toil and sacrifices associated with work, in union with Your Son Jesus Christ, who redeemed human work from the yoke of sin and restored it to its original dignity.

Thanks to all who are praying! We should hear something about the dinner in an hour or so, and then it’s on to the real deal tomorrow.
 
May Our Lord bless and guide your son in his quest for employment in accordance with His most holy will. May your son use his gifts and opportunities in life to bring those he meets, both today and every day, ever closer to our Lord. Amen.

Mother Mary, please make your intentions in this matter come true. Please help TheRealJuliene’s son to get this job, if Our Lord wills this job for him.

Update: The dinner included just one other young man, and 2 people from the company. Son said the manager talked a LOT, almost the whole time, and not much about the company, just social small talk.

The next day, there were 10 people in the interview group. They watched a presentation about the company (which son had already seen on campus), took a tour, ate lunch and then did interviews (3). He thought it went quite well, but then he thought the previous interview went well and he wasn’t offered a job that time, although 2 of his friends were. He won’t know for 3 weeks because they are doing another round of interviews after his group.

Thanks for all your prayers. He really needs to keep looking and interviewing but he’s like me that way, he likes to do one thing at a time until it’s completed, which is not a good strategy in some situations.
 
Thank you for the update. I was wondering how things went. I’m praying all goes well for him.
