Muslims are still revering the same God, they just view him through a horrifically distorted lens.

A simple analogy would be:

Catholics view God through Crystal-clear glass;
Muslims view Him through the reflection of a fun-house mirror.

It’s still the same God, it’s just that their understanding of him is severely impaired because they are viewing Him through the understanding of their idiotic and immoral “prophet.”

Even the Pope will admit that they worship the same God; no matter how distorted the worship may be.

Same god, and there are more similarities than differences between the religions.

Muslims, Jews, and Christians are all “People of the book”. I’ve never even heard a Christian theologian or leader claim that they aren’t the same god.

Popes can be mistaken and deceived. I believe it is Satan that is worshiped in Islam, sorry. It is a twisted version of Christianity from a man who was rejected by his Jewish community.

Don’t use that phrase, that’s an Islamic phrase and I don’t care what they term it. Islam is a “book” of a travesty of Christianity, Judaism and perhaps revelation from Satan himself. Muslims hate Jews and want Christians to convert, and it’s not just the “radicals” who espouse this.

The Muslims convert a lot of people in jails and prisons. Domestic terrorism is being preached inside our prisons day after day. They do it from the inside, not waiting for a priest or minister to preach “the word.” And it’s attractive to people who have felt alienated from society, because Islam includes revenge and punishment.

Your son is wanting a reaction out of you in relation to the Muslim religion; ignore it, do not comment and do not visit your Son until he stops this behaviour. I would be taking the following action;
  1. Your Son is taking out his anger and hurt about his Father being an alcoholic on you!Tell your Son that once his Family is gone ie yourself, your Husband, siblings etc, there will be no support at all. Tell him to ‘imagine’ this fact. There will be no letters, visits, all the kindnesses you have done for your Son; nothing, with the exception of an odd mate who will be getting on with their own life, not bothering to be there for him. Hard words for a hard situation that satan got your son into because your son did not love himself sufficiently to stay out of trouble. I am not judging here, because every now and then I fall into temptation to be around one or two old girlfriends (needing help) who are not helping themselves at all. There arrives a time when they need to fully carry their Crosses asking Jesus for assistance when they have the opportunity of every minute of every day. Your Son will get nothing at all from that rubbishy book and discover this himself without you really saying a word!
  2. During your next visit telling him these things, I would leave Our Lady Mary Mother of Jesus’ Holy Rosary Cards, Jesus Crucifix, a Green and Brown Scapula for under his mattress, Jesus Sister Faustina Holy Message Card with the prayers in it that Jesus has left us through His Divine Love and Mercy. After reading these, your Son will fully realise that it is his Soul journey not just his Life journey that he needs to consider and address.
  3. Reduce your visits to once or twice a fortnight (dreadfully hard) however knowing that he gets on with his cellmate and more importantly, through your Prayers to Jesus; your son is protected.
Please Dear Jesus Christ our Saviour, God our Heavenly Father, The Holy Spirit and Dear Our Lady Mary Mother of Jesus could You please fully awaken Thy Child and all of Your Children in Gaols throughout Thy World, to Your Divine Holy Spirit and Presence, Dear Lord, opening up their Hearts fully to Thee, now and for Eternity, Amen

The most important prayer I forgot that Jesus works through in His own time and in His Will performing His most Loving works I have witnessed with all my own Children’s issues is the following;

"Please Dear Jesus Christ and Dear Our Lady Mary Mother of Jesus, I offer up all of my Crosses and my Son’s Crosses to Thee Dear Lord, for Thy Divine Loving Intervention Healing and Curing my Son, fully opening up his Heart and Soul to Thee Dear Lord, now and for Eternity, Amen.

I then pray The Holy Rosaries during the day asking for World Causes and World Peace now and for Eternity.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all evil, Amen

While your Son is in gaol; he is able to focus on his healing (a wonderful ‘positive’), he is able to limit drug use (reducing evil attempting to work through him), he is able to cease undertaking negative behaviours (so relax!), and he is able to make a diary expelling his emotions of the past! Things that many of us do not make time for in the outside world!

I would be praying for a reduction in your Son’s sentence (cut by a year at least) through the Judge that Jesus knows will be next hearing your Son’s case.

Upon release, I would be despatching your Son overseas to another Country out of his own environment and the old contacts to rid himself of the drug environment and stimulating the highly intelligent brain that God gave your son to use in positive ways! A working Visa to use and meet new people to a country he is interested in visiting.

Pray for this! Give your Son time to Heal and reflect upon what countries and places he wishes to visit while you are praying for the Judge to release him early and for the right positive countries and places for your son and his future.

Your posts are amazing. My son’s goal in life, it seems, has been to take out any negatives on me. The tears I have cried over him could fill a bucket. He has been very mean to me in the past, purposely tried to hurt me, and more. This is partially why my husband has anger at him-he has witnessed my caring through it all and the harsh way that my son has treated me. I have to say that the past year, he HAS shown some signs of maturity-FINALLY. But, now this.

He was in a drug-induced state when he and the friend got into trouble. This is the 4th or 5th time he’s been in legal trouble and ALL INCIDENTS WERE RELATED TO BEING ON A DRUG WHEN OCCURRING. One would think that he’d see the link?

I have cared and cared and forgave and forgave all with unconditional love-he is my 1st born son! And he treats/has always treated me the worst. So, yes, he does like to ‘agitate’ me. I do NOT understand why…I wish I could. I am and have always been the rock that has been there for him, and he has stepped on me and kicked me so many times.

He’s a highly intelligent person, I just don’t get how he hasn’t been able to connect the dots on the graph to see how his risky behavior, and drug-induced states will always get him into serious trouble…if someone wants to get high but they have this effect when too many drugs are taken at once, why cannot they just take one drug instead of 4-still fun right? For him, I guess not!

I recommend that you go to Al-Anon meetings. It was formed as a corollary to AA, for the spouses of alcoholics, but family members of addicts are also welcome. It will help you learn how to detach from your son and his choices. Try several meetings - I’m betting you will start to hear your story and get some tools for your own life.

I agree. Get to an Al-Anon meeting. Also, there are AAs who take meetings into jails all the time. Ask your son if he is participating with those. There is a LOT in the big book of AA that is quoted directly from the Bible.

The more you go, the more they help.

There are many meetings in most towns and cities. Rural areas are more sparsely served but you can drive to the nearest town.

Grneyes, my prayers are with you. I had to call the police on my oldest, three years ago. I was so grateful he only spent a night in jail, and I have feared him, with his temper, ending up back there for more than a night. My heart goes out to you.
