Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the first day of my son’s new summer job and I’d appreciate prayers that it all go smoothly. There have been some communications snafu’s and I’m hoping all is now properly in place and will work out fine.

Good news is that if all is good then this job will provide him with enough money over the summer to pay his share of his costs for college which he starts this fall.

Truthfully, this job dropped into his lap from out of the blue (I believe it’s a God thing) but I’m nervous that I’m wrong and if it doesn’t work out for some reason, then he’s going to have a tough time finding employment that’d match the hours and pay of this job since he’d be starting to look so late in the season and affording college may become difficult.

Another chance for me to trust in God :o (so pray for that too!)

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Father God, you are the Creator. You know all. Help me trust in You that You will smooth any bumps in this road for my son if it is right for him to have this job, and that if it does not work out, let me trust that, as always you are our Provider, and I have no need to fear.
Help him with all the details that go into starting a new job. Bless those he will be working with. Grant him wisdom, grant him peace of heart.
Amen.

Praying. If the Lord gave him this job then you should trust him to keep it.

Praying for all to receive trust that this summer job will go well for dear son. Sounds like a wonderful way for him to gain experience and money for college

Good luck to him.

Mary.

Praying to St. Joseph for your son to have success in his summer job.

Remembering you and your son in my daily prayers. God bless.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers!

We are on day 2 of the job and all is going smoothly.

Quick backstory on the job - a few weeks ago we started getting phone calls for a man whose name we didn’t recognize. At first I just said “wrong number”, they apologized and we hung up. But then one caller persisted, explaining they were calling because the man had applied for a job with their company and they were very interested in interviewing him. (I suspect they thought I was screening his calls.) So I explained that unfortunately we did not know who this man was, but that there must have been a error on his resume - that this was not his phone number and I had no way of contacting him. The would be employer apologized, I apologized and - truthfully, felt bad for this guy who obviously was trying hard to get a job but due to a typing error didn’t know all these employers were looking for him.

So the calls continued, and each time I pleasantly explained what had apparently happened, wished the caller well, accepted their apology and moved on … until one call, with a friendly lady. We had the usual chat about the situation, then she said something about it was just too bad because they were really looking for new workers - and without even thinking, I said, “Well, you wouldn’t happen to need an 18yr old, who needs a summer job before heading off to college in the fall, would you?” - And she immediately responded that yes, indeed - she had an opening and that was almost exactly who she was looking for! Someone capable of doing lifting (my son’s an athlete), available for summer only, detailed orientated (son’s strongest subjects math and physics), who’d be interested in full-time work (definitely!!!), and could pass math, dexterity, and drug tests (yes, yes, yes).

A few hitches came up - some communication snafus, a scheduling conflict for the start date they wanted, the fact they rushed him to the testing but didn’t have a job application filled out for him, and so forth. But it all seems to have come together and now he’s actually started.

Just like I’d hoped, it’s a warehouse position, paying well, full time (we’d feared he’d have to patch-work 2 to 3 part time jobs to earn enough for college), with an international company (even if it’s just in the warehouse - a major employer’s name looks better on future resumes than being the dishwasher at a local restaurant.)

So you can see why I give all praise to God, who is so good!! Sometimes He moves in mysterious or subtle ways, but to me, in this it’s obvious He was making sure my son was taken care of - and teaching me to just relax and trust Him.

So thanks again for the prayers and support. And maybe say a prayer that the other gentleman who’s typo started it all - has also found the right job and is now also employed.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, We praise you and give you glory: We bless you for calling us to be your holy people.
Remain in our hearts, And guide us in our love and service. Help us to let our light shine before others And lead them to the way of faith.
Holy Trinity of love, We praise you now and for ever.
Amen!
