Hi everyone. I’m not sure if this is the right thread, but here goes. I will be Baptised and Confirmed at Easter Vigil! I am of course very excited about this and rather emotional. I am 49 years old and feel like I’ve been led to the Church my whole life! I will be participating in Holy Thursday Mass, Stations of the Cross on Friday, Good Friday service, and of course Easter Vigil. I’m taking some time off work Friday PM. I would like to have suggestions on how to prayerfully prepare for my Baptism. I’ve been re-reading RCIA class notes, reading the daily readings in the Magnificat, and praying the Rosary. Any other suggestions? Any specific prayer suggestions? Thanks, EB.
 
I don’t have any advice but I’m sure there are others that can guide you more properly… I just wanted to say… CONGRATULATIONS and welcome! 🙂
 
I think, maybe talk to the Lord, and tell Him how happy you are, and thank Him, and ask Him if there’s anything particular that He would like you to do, then will He please guide you. 🙂

Trishie gave good advice. That’s exactly what I did the days before I converted on Easter Vigil.

I also attended all of the Holy Week services. I just kept thanking God over and over again for everything. It will be the best night of your life!!!

It sounds to me like you’re doing everything right. The only thing I can think to add is to take some quiet time…no reading, no talking, no specific prayers…just sit quietly with Jesus and listen to him as he tells you how much he loves you.
