Sore mouth

I feel silly in a way asking for this it seems so small, but please pray that the sore on my gum heals very fast. It’s so difficult to eat, and I’m hungry for something solid that won’t give me pain.
 
I can understand. I have a sister and a niece who go through this and they lose weight every time because it is so painful. I will pray that you will heal soon. I had something like it and it was very painful to swallow. You have my prayers.

I just found out about St. Apollonia, who is a special intercessor for toothache and dental problems. I will also ask her to intercede for your sore gum. :gopray:
 
Thank you all for your prayers. I’m going to make something else ‘soft’ for supper again tonight, so I appreciate the prayers so very much. And the words of understanding. And CatholicSam, thanks for mentioning St. Apollonia. I need to write that down. And look her up in my Dictionary of Saints! I should have looked for a patron of mouth problems before now.

The only reason I know about her is because I also have been suffering from toothaches and gum sores! Right now I have a toothache that is causing a spasm in my neck. St. Apollonia, pray for us! :gopray:

Thanks for that link! I went to the homepage after reading about St. Apollonia and added it to my favorites.

Sam, I prayed for your toothache. I know it’s been days, but God is not in our time, so I believe all prayer counts. And I still have a sore mouth. I wear dentures, and have since I was 20. I think I got a sharp crumb under the bottom plate right behind the front bottom gum. In the softest part going down toward the place where your tongue is attached. I may have gotten a little infection, as it seems like it spread. But I remembered I had some Lourdes water here, and have been using that (a couple drops in water), and also salt water besides my biotene. I think it’s getting better. But still hurts to eat.

I am also praying for fin’s mouth. No more canker sores! Those are painful, too.

And for everyone, again…thanks for prayers. God bless each and every one of you.
 
Thanks so much for the prayers, Baptista! I will continue to pray for you and fin when I pray for my own mouth problem. It looks like I may need further surgery on this root if it doesn’t start feeling a lot better soon, and I may end up losing the tooth after all. So your prayers are very much appreciated. Actually, today it hasn’t been bothering me as much! 🙂

I get these often, but have NEVER loss weight:D

You’e welcome, Sam. I will keep praying you won’t need more surgery. No more pain, either. And I’m glad yours isn’t as bad today! May both our mouth problems be cured. 👍
 
I wanted to post an update on here. While it’s not completely healed, my mouth is feeling much better. I was able to eat solids without it hurting too much. Praise God! And Thank You All so very Much!! :grouphug:
