Soul searching..

I went into KoC and am 1st degree…I like what the KoC is about…my struggle is this…I wonder if it is the right season for me…in my life that is…I like to be in a thing whole hearted … I lack the time to be a “good” knight…I hardly make meetings…I don’t want to leave and have regrets or cause hard feelings… Absurd as it sounds what if I leave and they don’t want me back in a few years when I can be a better asset… I am really spinning my wheels people…any thoughts…the whole idea of good thing wrong time…

This is wide open of corse I welcome opinions of non KoC as well as Brother Knights…to non KoC…did I half make sense in my no coffee insomnia babbling …regarding me thinking it’s a good thing but I am not in a place I feel really…committed … To Brother Knights…would you see my stepping down for a period presumptuous ???

If you can only go occasionally, then go occasionally! I don’t see anything wrong with that. In all of the various women’s groups I have been in over the years I see that there are some who can devote more time and talent than others. And, that may change over the years.

Meanwhile, do what you can. Community in the Church is a powerful and wonderful gift to us!

As for me, I am a Knight. Meetings? I work at night. Meetings for my council are on Thrusday evening, so I am unable to attend. I do participate in Knight activities as I am able. The parish fall festival always needs helping hands. I am there! The school needs help with something (on a weekend). I am there.

My advise is the same as what Dorothy gave. Go ahead and join in. Do what you can. It’s all good.

Thanks… I just feel I am not offering anything at present…I am in my 40s I have a Private Capitol and Mineral Rights concern in the tri-State area…I sometimes don’t know what I will be doing this or that week… don’t get me wrong I love what I do…I think I will in the next 5 years Macro it more allowing my Estate Facilitator and Attorney to handle dat to day… As I say…it’s that I want to establish a momentum consolidate some family interests…I feel … Torn…I think still at levels I may offer more then…or…maybe…I am obsessing over my need of a perfectionism which is sometimes a flaw with me…I mean I have many flaws but that one has always been an issue…anyone else…I’m on the “couch” Dr!(-:

I’m not KofC, but I go along with those who say stay with the KoC and do what you can. They are a great asset in your life, and you shouldn’t talk yourself out of them.
