Sounds terribly cold over there in places!

It’s 26 below zero this morning, same as yesterday. Today is the 4th day that schools and many businesses are closed. No mail delivery yesterday and probably today, and no trash collection. The dog is next to me on the couch as my personal hot water bottle. It’s nearly certain that the sewer line will freeze, but I’ve been through it 3-4 times now, so it’s not as terrible as it was at first. It will warm up a bit tomorrow and a lot this weekend. “Bless the Lord all ye works of the Lord”.
 
I think I’d have to actually live through it to really understand 🤔
On the news tonight it showed Niagara Falls frozen,pretty amazing…and it looked incredible .
:pray:t2:for the people that have passed on as a result of the extreme cold.

As long as you dress for it, the wind isn’t much of a factor. I grew up n Chicago, and quite a few times I walked the ten blocks to high school in that temp and wind. The news likes the sensationalism, and many either don’t know or don’t care to dress appropriately.

That’s what makes me feel really sad–the people who have died because of the extreme cold.

When I was at the hospital today for my appointment, the nurses told me that they have treated some patients for frostbite, as the skin starts to freeze and develop frostbite after about 10 minutes of being exposed to the outdoors in this extreme cold. ☹️ 😥

I’m in SE Wisconsin, and it was very cold like this again this morning.

It was something like -26 below zero F., with a -46 below zero F. wind chill.

Many businesses are closed here again today, and there isn’t any mail delivery today, either. No trash pick up for us either, this week.
