I would really appreciate it if posters stopped expecting me to stumble on commentaries inside of threads which are meant for the moderator and should be sent in a PM or through the BPR function.

If you think a rule is being violated, such as a thread not posted in the correct forum, please contact me privately and don’t post about it in the thread.
My comment was not meant for the moderator or in any way a request for the thread to be moved, simply an observation, the key being -

An observation on the compliance with forum rules, which should not be made publicly.

This is one of my favorites, Vladyka Benjamin of San Francisco. He was definitely differentiating himself from the ordinarily more dour formal poses of the other bishops.

Every time I see it it cracks me up!

This one is pretty nice too, I imagine Vladyka Seraphim was still thinking of bishop Benjamin’s antics at the studio and trying to keep a straight face when this was snapped…

There is no need to put on a show like those two with the artificial scowls and martyrism. They could learn a thing or two from the top two ordinaries.

I would be more inclined to say that there is no need for the smiley ones to put on a show with artificial grins and avuncularism. I say I would-- if I were arrogant enough to presume to judge their sincerity or motives from a simple photo. This is a silly thread.

People need to get beyond mistaking seriousness and/or solemnity for scowling or martydom

Many years,

Neil, who hasn’t smiled in a photo since time immemorial

Wow that bottom one looks like he is in a staring contest. He would beat anyone. 😃
