Here is a copy of a statement on one of the posts that was linked from one of those links (I believe it was the article by Dr. Shea):
The Pontifical Academy for Life states that “the absolute unlawfulness of abortifacient procedures also applies to distributing, prescribing and taking the morning-after pill. All who, whether sharing the intention or not, directly co-operate with this procedure are also morally responsible for it.”
It doens’t matter what the U.S. Bishops or various committees say on the matter, this is the Church’s stand because the MAP is an abortifacient.
One of the Bishops commitee links, “Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops” is a dead end because the document is no longer on the website. I’m sorry I don’t have more time to research this matter.
