Interestingly, there were some pro-life democrats elected to congress this year. Wonder what Hillary and Nancy Pelosi will do with that.
More importantly, what will these pro-life Democrats be able to accomplish?
Interesting idea, that the Republicans may not really want to end abortion any more than some say the Democrats really want to end poverty. Each party benefits when the country is dissatisfied with the other.
I had not considered this, but I would not disagree.

Let’s take a deep breath here and get a good nap. The South Dakota law was extreme and everybody knew it. It was designed as a means of bringing the abortion issue before the U.S. Supreme Court to get Roe v. Wade overturned. The plan was an effort to avoid the hard work of incremental attacks on abortion that have seen success and go right for the jugular. If it was misrepresented by opponents (and what isn’t?), their efforts were assisted by the smug, self-righteous tone of a sizeable number its supporters. I listened to some of those legislative interviews in the days immediately after the bill was passed, and was not very favorably impressed with their demonstrated lack of political acumen. This is not a loss for pro-lifers. It is a loss for politicians who acted immoderately.
You are exactly right! Thank you for saying it so perfectly.

I, too, am sick. The voters of my state have approved the destruction of human embryos for so-called medical “progress.” I’m hard pressed to see where life triumphed anywhere last night. Total disaster.
I agree. I’m truly embarrassed to be an American right now. I guess I’ve known all along that we aren’t a Christian nation anymore, this just proves it. I know God has His reasons, but I just don’t understand the election outcomes.

These outcomes are not God’s choice. They are the choices of Americans. God will not take their free will from them.

South Dakotans rejected Tuesday a toughest-in-the-nation law that would have banned virtually all abortions, even in cases of rape and incest. The outcome was a blow to conservatives, although they prevailed in four other states where voters approved constitutional amendments to ban gay marriage. Among them was Wisconsin, where gay-rights activists had nursed hopes of engineering the first defeat of such a ban.

It was indeed a Black Tuesday.

I am pretty depressed too. After a “christian” said she was pro-life last night but she didn’t feel the need to convince other people, I just felt sick. I prayed a chaplet of mercy last night and a rosary today for live. We have to keep praying. God doesn’t need a big army, but he needs a faithful one.

this greatest nation on Gods green earth is officially a disgrace!!
what does it take? one million plus walking on Washington??
separation of parties??? isn’t there something we can throw into Boston Harbor?? Why are we as a nation letting feminist, liberal do nothings run this country into moral ruin. it’s absolutely unbelievable to me. OK I feel a little better now.
