This is completely off topic, but I’ve often wondered where the idea of Congregationalism came from… since it’s completely foreign to the New Testament. The New Testament very explicitly and consistently shows a highly centralized global Church. Don’t want to get into it on this thread - but it’s always struck me as very odd for Sola Scriptura adherents.

Sounds like a great topic for another thread. I have some thoughts, and I don’t think it’s all that odd or all that foreign lol.
