In order to appease my critical brethren :), you can use the Nacar Colunga version.

Or you can use the Vatican version: EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS - It is an Argentinian translation - as our Pope is :D.
 
Stick with something simple:
Christian Community Bible.
Get her reading first.
Once she is reading, she will want to dig deeper.
Then move on to the RSVCE New Testament with commentary.

Milk first.
then
Meat.
 
Since she is trying to become more familiar with translation between the languages…A site with multiple languages side by side is much more conducive to learning than a single language by itself.

By using the site linked below, you get the traditional Félix Torres Amat translation in Spanish, and you can put it side by side with the traditional Douay Rheims in English and the Clementine Latin Vulgate. Both the English and Spanish are translations of the Vulgate.

I am bilingual. For years I have benefitted from my Reina Valera (1960)/KJV bilingual Bible, but as I am reverting to my Catholic roots I was hoping to find a comparable Catholic Spanish/English Bible. The bilingual version I keep seeing is the Dios Habla Hoy/with English Good News translation. I do not like either version.

Ideally, I would like the Torres Amat or Racar Colunga side by side with my 1950 Douay-Challoner/Confraternity Catholic Bible that I like reading., but so far it does not exist. 😦 This company publishes Spanish Catholic Bibles, but they dont make a bilingual Catholic one

I dont mind lugging two Bibles along, except that Douay is very heavy (its an illustrated family Bible). Was that version ever available slimline?

Thank you for that Credo website, I can at least digitally read the Spanish Amat/English Douay online 🙂
