If this fellow in question really did desecrate the Most Precious Body of Our Lord, he’s lucky he wasn’t killed. If any of us lived in really just and morally decent societies, the kind we should be creating as Catholics with our political participation, the penalty for deliberate sacrilege would be death.

No one should abuse the Body of our King.

Even in just and morally decent societies, we don’t accept the beliefs of all other religions. To us, the Host is the Body of Christ, to an Evangelical or a Jew, it is a wafer of bread. Evangelicals and Jews and others aren’t going to accept laws that permit Catholics to execute an individual for what they see as abusing bread.

Christ even set us an example to follow:

1. Christ did not teach violence by this passage.
2. Peter did not execute the man. Ananius died from “hearing those words.” Peter did not at any point direct the man to die.

1. Again, Peter did not command her death. He told her that her sharing her husband’s sin caused her to die.
2. At no point did Peter direct the deaths of those two people.
3. You said, “The Apostles…executed people with the power of their prayer.” “Apostles” is plural. What other apostles executed people?
4. Where did Peter execute people with his prayers? What verse shows him praying for someone’s death?

You would do well to study Scripture more closely.
