Speaker Nancy Pelosi Flexes Her Cafeteria Catholicism on Abortion, Immigration

During the 2008 elections Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) tried to imply the Catholic Church was “flexible” on the whole abortion is a mortal sin thing. The Speaker and her allies seem to be singing a different tune now that they potentially agree with the Catholic Church on the issue of immigration, and once again she is positioning herself as an expert on Catholic teaching.

There are many with the grace of God, obedient to the Commandments and the Church, and in the “state of grace” who are very knowlegeable in their Catholic faith. At the same token they are very humble people who would love to have all learn the Gospel message. Pro-life is generally their call.

Many people who claim to be an “expert in Catholic teaching”, are usually in deep sinfulness in thier lives.

Their talk on Catholic teaching is mere foolishness because they are spiritually blind and dead. Their lives darkened from their deep sinful actions have put themseleves there.

One man I know personally behaves in such manner. He is a college graduate and well in knowledge in political science. He was a Methodist until the mid 1960’s converting to Catholicism. He has not been to confession since I have known him in the past five years. He never attends Mass on Sundays / Holy Days. When he does go to Mass, he receives Holy Communion (not allowed). My wife and I are considered “religious fanatics” to him. This man recieved a poor catechesis from a certain priest.

According to him, my information on Catholic faith is wrong. But yet I attend Mass on Sundays / Holy Days, confession at least once a month. I have a Bible and Cathechism of the Catholic Church along with studying my faith for nine years. I will never claim to be an expert on Catholic teaching.

The expert is Jesus Christ with the Holy spirit in the glory of God the Father.

Those Catholics who agree on pro-choice views from Pelosi along with other “so called Catholic” pro-choice politicians are spiritually blinded / dead no matter how smart, wealthy, or politically powerful they are.

Immigration as well as many other issues will never be near resolved until the Pro-Life attitude returns. When the sanctitiy of life is diminished, also is man’s dignity diminished to a" mere base objective tool to the state."

Oh, come on people. When I think of a rigorous and orthodox Catholic who is always in agreement with the church, I think of Mrs. Pelosi.

In that interview in 2008 the speakers comment’s on abortion ranged into Aquinas’s teaching. She then started to say how the Doctor’s of the Church were unsure of when life began, or when the soul was imparted. Maybe it was me, but I got the impression that she thought the Doctor’s of the Church were medical doctor’s.

Any time anyone says a Catholic doctrine on Faith or Morals is one way when you know for a fact they are wrong, ask them to prove it using any Catholic Document.
Then you can pull out the “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition” and show them the truth based on facts.

If they continue to deny the particular doctrine, they are heretics. Won’t they be surprised when you tell them that which is also included in the Catechism.

There are none more innocent, more “least” than babies in the womb!!**

At the moment of my death, when i stand before Jesus & have to answer for all of my horrible sins, i will be only be able to cower in respect & whisper “Mercy!”

i hope the fact that i tried, however feebly, to protect the most beautiful of all of God’s creations in the universe, the innocent babies in the womb, from the brutal murder of abortion by their own mothers & fathers, will be my finest hour!
