This site has some pretty clever parodies about Catholic music and liturgy, including a recent one about musicians quarrelling over the microphone. I can’t help but recognize what sometimes goes on here in his work.

Thanks, VociMike! That is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. I am going to be sending it around to my friends. I have been fighting the fight since 1964 when I was still in high school, and Sister made us quit singing the Latin hymns. I hope we are seeing the light at the end of tunnel now, and I am glad that I have lived long enough to see it. Thanks again!

I loved it! Marysann, I was in high school at the same time and I’ve never gotten over going from singing Pange Lingua to “And They’ll Know We Are Christians”. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater!

Did I miss something? When I click on the link in the OP, I see an article about Santa Cruz calling itself Pro Choice.

Ha! I have been a fan of artist Georges de la Tour for a long time and I don’t recall coming across that particular work of art with the quarreling musicians. I tried not to spray the food and drink out of my mouth when I saw this image! Hilarious! :rotfl:
