Text to my husband:
“Stop taking so much credit for things. God straightened out your mess through my fervent prayers for YEARS.”
His reply:
“Please do not text me anymore.”
I texted back, “Take the message.”
I shouldn’t have done that, I thought, and worried about hearing the message through the ear, he is half deaf from his father’s yelling, he went deaf in cannon fire fighting in WWII.
Then, on the radio, something about “rebel hearts,” then I thought to myself, “I won!”
On the radio, “Love has won.”
(He just left for work out of town, I was continuing to listen to the radio and got it all straightened out about my psychologist and how to think about him, in general, and what he said about letting my son come home.)
I asked God to let my psychologist be His voice in my life some years ago, as I wasn’t ready to trust in a love I couldn’t see, and I realize, well, first I realized suddenly that I had been healed of my affliction, a physical affliction that has been a split-second by split-second torment for 20 years, and I thought, Dr. (B) did that, and then I realized it. God did what I asked, which helps me resolve my issues with Dr. B, where he wasn’t so perfect at first, and then was really scary because I had him mixed up with God.
Got the worst of it worked out.
Special Easter. God Bless Catholic radio. Jesus lives.
Thank you for your prayers. And yes, you do need to HEAR it, but writing it out has helped me because before I could only write and take in what is written, which is a beginning in faith, but only a beginning. Now I’m a fledgling.
