Yes there is music…it’s the song “Shannon”. I’m sorry I’m laughing so hard I can’t type…I could see why everyone was so upset if all the got were the dogs on the beach!

Take your time dear, I’m sure he meant well, maybe he’s sick or hit his head or D hit him in the head with one of her new pans…I don’t know. I hope you get to hear the music, I think, at least it’s better then just dogs on the beach like Brenda got!

happymommy you are too funny…that is good be though with the pans. I know she paid a bundle for those things so they have to be good and heavy, would out him in a stupor for a few hours at least.

I don’t get it at all… but I just had a sudden fear…what if he has songs for all of us:eek: I’m scared!!:frighten:
 
What’s scary is, there are so many coincidences with this song, not even including the Shannon thing…

I was born in 1976

I have a son named Henry like the songs writer

the first dog I had was an Irish setter…

and I, like the featured dogs, am Irish 😛

I spent untold amounts of hours at the beach when I was growing up, and nearly drowned in a rip current once, like the lyrics of the song seem to suggest ‘Shannon’ did??? Was an all out lifeguard rescue type thing, I didn’t not ‘sail away’ and find a shady tree though…🤷

It’s a bit creepy, that Guy seems to have such a window into my past…:hmmm: :ehh:

I think he’s just trying to get me back for all the harassing I’ve done of him and if that’s the case, this shan’t be the end of it.:onpatrol:

ETA: I just read that the song is about a dog named Shannon…now I’m not sure at all how to take this.

True story. It was written by Beach Boy Brian Wilson. He was in a deep state of depression in the 1960s and someone gave him a female Irish Setter and he named her Shannon.

Shannon became his best best friend and pulled him out of his long funk and depression. She got him out of the bed to play and have fun. He use to play with on the beaches in and around Malibu almost everyday.

One day Shannon was on some kind of raft, got caught by the tide or undertoe and was carried out to sea, while Brian watched helpless from the shore, he never saw her again. He never forgot the dog and wrote the song in the her honor.

And now you know the rest of the story.
 
Oh I know all about the song. I just wondered if it was appropriate for shannyk as a tribute…
 
Shannon, I am sure that Bama has the best intentions for this video (even though I can’t see it at the moment due to school blocking streaming video).

You have taught me that men’s and women’s brains are wired differently and I think this is a case in evidence of that!!

Well noooooooo, we all love ShannyK cos she’s a loyal friend like Shannon, LOL. But anyways, ANYTIME I see the name Shannon I hear Henry Gross, "Shannon is gone out heard, she’s drifting out to sea" LOL.

But since ShannyK lives in Wisocnsin she’s prolly not gonna drift out to sea, well she might drift across Like Michigan, but somebody will pick her up on the other side.

And I got just the video for the OutinChicago too. Hehehe, but its a secret right now. 😛
