I’m confused too but I believe the OP is trying to say that since species aren’t mentioned in Scripture, that the system of classifying living organisms that uses species (and phylum, genus, etc.) is false. That assertion doesn’t hold up unless you believe that Paul was speaking scientifically in the cited passage (1Corinthians 15:39). There is nothing in that passage to indicate that it is meant as a biological or scientific lesson.

If that’s what he’s saying, then I believe he’s wrong. If he is trying to say that the phylogenetic system western science uses does not correspond to the biblical kind, then I would agree. However, as I previously stated, there is nothing better about the system we use that makes it any better than any other system. It’s just as culture-based as the system used by any other group of people.
