What happens when currencies like the dollar decline in value? Speculators looking to make money turn to commodities like food. It doesn’t matter that food prices go up as long as there is a profit.

Ed, this sort of profiteering has been occuring for centuries, in war, in natural disaster, and in many societies. It is always a form of theft, usually from the disadvantaged. God forgive profiteers, may they repent and reimburse, and may God protect the victims of this, and any kind of theft, which sometimes drives vulnerable people to desperation and can ruin lives.
