Spend more Time on this?

I have a habit of sometimes reading the news and browsing Christian issues a bit too much. I feel like i should comment online(FB feeds, youtube,news articles) to put out a more Christian viewpoint out there. As we all know, it’s heavily anti-christian .

However, i do have other commitments like doing more research, reading and studying for my own career. I feel the time would be spent more wisely investing in furthering up my knowledge in my chosen field. The remainder of the time maybe i could pray or watch apologetic videos.

It’s important to keep up with changes in my field(software) and i don’t want to avoid doing that in favor of the more ‘easier’ task of watching a video about the faith.

Has anyone faced this? Our time is precious and it would be nice to use it wisely. To grow both mentally and spiritually.

What would you recommend in helping to divvy up the spare time i have.

When I went through discernment for the diaconate, they told us that our priorities had to be in the following order;

God
Family
Job
Ministry

God - pray, go to Mass etc

Family - provide love and support

Job - do your best and work honestly for the money you earn. Don’t let it over take the other priorities

Ministry - help out in the parish or other places where works of mercy are appropriate.

In the case of internet sharing of faith in various social forums, it would be in low in the list of priorities and always done with compassion and understanding for the uninformed.
